Songs

Ok, I guess I should give credit for the last 2 postings to who or whom actually wrote the words. He doesn't dangle ... is from a song by the Spin Doctors.

The second one is from Jeff Buckley and the song is Last Goodbye. I think they were just 2 songs I had in my head for a couple of days now. I remember hearing the Spin Doctors on the radio the other day and proceeded to tell Trevor how much I liked them in the early 90's. At least I think it was the early 90's.

Felt Good

Damn, that felt good so here's another:

This is our last goodbye
I hate to feel the love between us die
But it's over
Just hear this and then i'll go
You gave me more to live for
More than you'll ever know

If only I had written that!

Friday

I haven't posted anything all day long so here goes,

He doesn't dangle by the seraphim
He only wants a pretty face by him so
How could you want him when you know you could have me?

Launchcast

I listed a post about not being able to link my launchcast station and all you people have requested that I link it. It's not that I don't know how, but I don't think that I can. I am not a launchcast plus member, so I don't actually think that I can link it. I really can't afford the plus option like so many of my wealthy readers can. I have 2 mortgages and 2 kids plus a wife who lost her job in April. I should probably have a link to paypal so you guys can send in contributions to the cause. Now I only have to figure out how to do that.

Wednesday

Well I went a whole day without any posts. I'll try to make up for that. I should probably tell you about supper last night. When I left the house Wed., my wife had a plan to go and mow my parents yard in the afternoon, so I wasn't expecting anything for supper. Imagine my surprise when I arrived home and had a jumbo fish dinner from Captain D's waiting on me(cooked country of course). I immediately wolfed it down in around 10 minutes as not to look like a fat pig in front of the wife. I enjoy fish but it is the tartar sauce that makes it for me. Captain D's and Red Lobster have the most intoxicating sauce ever created. What do you think about the big words I'm using? Pretty impressive isn't it?

Supper Tonite

OK, I just got off the phone with the wife and I asked about supper tonite. She said she thought she would make beenie weenies tonite and asked me if that was alright with me. I told her yeah because I LOVE BEENIE WEENIES. I really do! I think I will probably keep this blog updated with what I eat for supper every night. I did have the mushroom pizza last night and it was good.

Bush falls off his bike

I just read on cnn.com that President Bush has fallen off his mountain bike. He was riding at his 1600-acre ranch and fell off his $3100 mountain bike. Damn, he has a $3100 bicycle and I just received a 3% raise. I should look into a polical career, of course my father has never been financially secure enough to loan me millions of dollars to buy a major league baseball team.

Bored

I have been so bored today. The boss's boss left at noon and my boss doesn't really care if I just sit around. I have to be here in case someone calls and needs technical support. Monday is usually the busiest day because most of the users forget how to work their PC after being off for the weekend. Right now I am just enjoying sitting here and checking my email and listening to my launchcast station. I tried to link my launchcast station but I can't figure it out and I don't want to spend too much time on it.

Mushroom Pizza

I hope there is some of the mushroom pizza left when I get home. I think I could eat mushroom pizza almost daily. I've sort of got into a groove of going to Little Caesar's at least once a week. I get mushroom, Trevor get pepperoni and Zack gets wings. The wife is usually not there when we go so we just let her fend for herself when she gets home.

Walk Away

I wonder if I should just walk away from all this, like Ricky Williams did? I could just get in the minivan and start driving. I'll miss the boys that's for sure, but I'll be out of the 8 to 5 rut. I will surely need money before I can walk away, but where can I get that. I am also wondering now if walk away is one word or two?

Goodies

If anyone out there would like to buy me something. I have become fascinated by the iPod and also XM radio. This is not a great time to have no money. If I could though, get everyone to send me $1.00 that would really help. Or whatever you can spare.

NFL

Training camps open this week and I can't wait. Being here in Tennessee, I am swamped with UT football, but I would rather hear and watch NFL. I always think that I will pick one team and follow them very closely all season. I never fulfill this and end up rooting for a bunch of different teams. My son Trevor has the Rams and the Falcons. My youngest Zack has the Broncos, (only because he likes their uniforms and helmets). But they have teams, I need one. I am more of a AFC man instead of NFC, so I could go with the Titans. Being where I am, I will get to watch all their games and I really like them alot better now that Eddie George is gone, along with his 3.3 yards a carry. I'll start out with 3 teams that I like and see where it goes from there. My teams this year will be: Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, and the Baltimore Ravens.

Ricky Williams

I couldn't believe it at first, when I heard that Ricky Williams of the Miami Dolphins was retiring. Now after seeing it everywhere on the web and on TV, I guess I am convinced. Personally I think it may have something to do with being tested positive for marijuana. I feel like Ricky just wanted to move on with his life and not be scrutinized constantly by the NFL.

Bourne Supremacy

We saw the Bourne Supremacy on Saturday. I was a little disappointed, I may have been expecting too much. It was overall a good movie, I see where it was the top grossing movie of the weekend, taking the place of I,Robot.

New Yo-Yo

Well Trevor got his new yo-yo, but he decided to get it at Walgreens instead of waiting on a better one by ordering online. He battled with the new one all night, some crying and some rejoicing that he could do the tricks. I believe he thought he could do all the tricks just by having a new yo-yo.

Movie

I'm taking the boys to the movies today. Trevor and I want to see the Bourne supremacy, Zack says it will give him bad dreams. But he will go see it if I ask his uncle to bring his 4-wheeler to my mother-in-laws birthday party tonite. Guess I need to call my brother-in-law.

Ashby

I would just like my friend Ashby to know that I'm thinking about him today. I'll remember him in my prayers while he is driving back from Richmond. Check out his blog, he is the one that told me about blogger.

Mark Cuban

I just saw an ad for the new reality show, "The Benefactor" starring Mark Cuban of Dallas Maverick fame. I would be perfect to impress him, I've been waiting for almost 40 years now for someone, anyone, to discover me. Maybe it's not going to happen in Knoxville, Tennessee. It probably doesn't help that I've tried nothing to get discovered. I am just going to keep waiting until one day someone will notice me.

Trevor

My son, Trevor is all upset that he can't order a yo-yo online because the home PC is down right now. I will be home in around 3 hours and then I'll get to work on the home PC! My wife is pissed off,(her exact words), at IBM because they want to send a technician to the house. I say let them send a tech, the pc is only 6 months old.

Tony Packo

I've got my Tony Packo's t-shirt on today.  One woman asked me if I bought it at a M*A*S*H website.  I told her no, I bought it at Tony Packo's in Toledo, Ohio.  I also told her about the best hot dog and chili, that I had ever had in my life.

Meet the Fockers

I just saw where there was a trailer for the follow-up to the movie "meet the parents", it's called "meet the fockers".  I may be the only person around, but I never really enjoyed the movie "Meet The Parents"

Answer the phone

Most of the time, I'm afraid to answer the phone, it could be a bill collector or even worse someone who has a court summons or an arrest warrant.

J-O-B

My wife sure could use a job, and for that matter, I could use a new job.  I really enjoy the people that I work with but the money is not very good.  Working for the state, I have great benefits, but the level of pay is not very competitive with the real world.

Turn signals

Why is it that people will purchase 30 or 40 thousand dollar vehicles and not get turn signals as an option?  It's not that hard to use a turn signal.
