Baptist Minister

So what do you do when you offer a Baptist Minister a job as the pastor at your Church and he wants more money? That's the dilemma facing a Baptist Church that I am frequently a guest of. The minister, let's call him "Culpepper", was told the job paid 55k a year and he has contacted the deacons and said he would take it for 74k a year. I believe I chose the wrong line of work. Though I really wouldn't enjoy visiting all those members that find themselves in the hospital at one time or another. Then there is also the downside of performing funerals. But for 74000 dollars a year, I might be able to do it.
