Poor Amy Bruce

I just received an email about a little 7-year old girl named Amy Bruce. She has a tumor on her brain and severe lung cancer. If I will forward this email, the "Make A Wish Foundation" will donate 7 cents for every email forwarded. I have seen soooo many of these emails, so I looked it up on snopes.com and imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a hoax. This email has actually been making the rounds since 1999. Amy Bruce would now be 13 years old. Why do people make things like this up? I can't see where it serves any purpose whatsoever.

Charlie Chocolate

The Mrs. and the oldest want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Zack and I do not. So what do we do when they go see Charlie? We can't come up with another movie that we want to see right now. Maybe if they wait long enough to see it, something for me and Zack will come out. They could go ahead and watch Charlie and Zack and I would be owed a movie. That's the way it usually works around the house, Ang or I go out with one of the boys and then the next time it's the other boys' time. We are trying to save money and get out of debt, so maybe there will be NO movie now or later.

Speaking of saving money, I've been trying to bring my lunch to work instead of eating out every day. This is getting harder everyday that I am forced to eat pimento cheese or bologna, like I had today. Don't get me wrong, I like pimento cheese and bologna, but I like going out to eat more!

Monday I had Burrito Diablo for lunch. That's not a very good link, but the best one I could find for the place. I had the steak burrito with a little salad. The salads are great, they are of course served in a bowl that you eat, but they are baked not fried. The burritos are huge with all the fixins you can think of. I had seasoned rice, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, Pico de gallo, sour cream, and a delicious chipotle ranch dressing. As of this writing Burrito Diablo is at the top of my list of places to eat. I will post more reviews if I get to eat out again. Maybe this is what I should write about all the time, because if you know me or have seen me, you know that I know food. I need to come up with some way to rate restaurants, how about french fries? Sounds good to me, until I come up with a better rating system. So for now, Burrito Diablo gets 9 out of 10 french fries.

It's been a while

I know I haven't blogged in a while, but I do have a good excuse. First of all I was on an African safari and didn't want to pay extra for the internet access. I had a very exciting time, my best memories from the trip involve the elephants. I really had a connection to the elephants, and not just because I was close to their weight. All in all, I would recommend Kenya Travel to anyone who is looking for a truly great life-changing experience. One more note about Kenya, if you are ever there, please find the time for a visit to Lake Nakuru, you will not be disappointed.

Now I am back to the old job and everything is the same. I have applied for a couple of new positions at different companies. If anyone out there has any pull with KUB or with Covenant Health, put in a good word or two for me. You can always get in touch with me through email, unless of course I am in Africa.
